Ask Your Coach

How do we get started?

The first step is a complimentary session by phone where we get to know each other. During this time we will talk about your goals, how coaching works and schedule follow-up appointments.

How do you know about the life?

After many years playing as a submissive in BDSM, I married and became my transsexual wife's Master. We have a 24/7 Total Power Exchange and balance this with traditional marriage.

What is your motivation for coaching?

Coaching works. I have been very fortunate to work with coaches at various points in my life. My first coach helped me finish my dissertation and get the PhD I wanted for a long time.

Why should I trust a coach?

Coaching focuses on you - your goals, your life and your strengths. Coaches listen to you. We can empathize and use intuition to help you design your future. I am in your corner and here just to help you using my training in proven techniques.

I want to change, but I'm not sure where I want to go. How do you help?

We will do specific activities will help you establish your priorities and what you want your life to be like. Then, we will start finding ways to accomplish those goals and maintain an everyday life.

Do you have special tools to help me?

Professional coaches are trained in proven techniques that help people understand the future they want and help them arrive at it. We take courses in techniques such as using strengths and positive psychology to help you banish your gremlins to get to your goals.

What can a coach do for me?

A coach helps you find the things that keep you from achieving the life you want. Then, we work with you to find strategies that will work for you to overcome those things.

Do we do therapy?

No, coaching and therapy are different. Coaching uses principles from positive psychology, but is designed for helping you with setting and achieving goals such as losing weight or changing jobs. Therapists look at the past and try to fix what's "broken".

What's a typical session like?

In the beginning, we set what you want to work on during the session. Then, we will use a number of proven techniques to help you accomplish the goals of the session. Through powerful questions and listening, we figure out what you need to do next towards your goals. These become your activities for the week. You will agree to these activities and I will use accountability to help you do them.

What's this accountability about?

Often we have things we want in life but never seem to get around to taking the steps to get them. By holding you accountable for the activities we agree on, you can make progress towards what you want.

How can it help me with transitioning?

We will find the picture of what your life will look like after transition, identify the things that might hold you back and deal with them.

Will you tell me what to do?

Coaching works because the answers come from you. You are incredible with strengths and resources you don't even realize. We use these to help you find strategies that work for you. Consultants tell you what to do. My experiences help me empathize and understand the things you want to accomplish but the activities we do come from you.

Is this confidential?

Our coaching sessions are confidential. I respect your privacy.

Is this expensive?

No. And depending on where you are in your life, we can arrange fees based on a sliding scale.

Why do I need a coaching agreement?

A coaching agreement establishes the ground rules that we will work by.
